Green Mountain National Forest, 353,757 acres of magnificent forests and streams, trails and campgrounds, mountains and meadows stretching from Warren and Bristol south to the Massachusetts line.  (The first page takes forever to load.)

Manchester,  a shopping and dining magnet convenient to both Sun Bowl Ranch and Mountain View Ranch.

Vermont Country Store

The Vermont County Store, a good source of quintessentially Vermonty goods and a must-see for every visitor to Manchester


The Southern Vermont Art Center Southern Vermont Art Center(Manchester), ten galleries and 407 lovely wooded acres on the slope of Mount Equinox.

U.V. Morgan Horse farm

University of Vermont Morgan Horse Farm (Burlington), dedicated to the preservation, improvement, and appreciation of Vermont's own breed.  (The Morgan Horse has been the official State animal since 1961.)

No trip to Vermont, virtual or actual, would be complete without Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream.  The headquarters of the firm are in South Burlington, but there are stores in Manchester and in several other spots closer to Sun Bowl Ranch and Mountain View Ranch.
